Kwithu Women’s Group

Maloto works hand-in-hand with the Kwithu Women’s Group, a local organization of 20 hard working, loving women who have dedicated their lives to helping vulnerable children and women in Malawi. With support from Maloto, Kwithu operates a feeding program for vulnerable children as well as a number of after school learning and recreational initiatives.

Mzuzu Academy

Recognizing that quality education was one of the biggest challenges facing Malawi, Maloto worked with local leaders and the community to build Mzuzu Academy. Opened in September of 2010, Mzuzu Academy offers its students a world-class secondary school education and is lead by Headmaster John McGuinness who has years of experience in both European and African international schools.

Although Mzuzu Academy is open and has 75 students, much remains to be done to bring the school to scale and has plans to expand its capacity to serve 400 students.  Maloto believes that a quality, competitive education should be available for all children. Malawi lost a generation to HIV/AIDS and cannot afford to lose another generation due to a lack of education!

Please help us send a child to school by supporting Maloto’s secondary school fund!
